What is soulful mastery?

It answers the question, “What is my true self? What do I need to do for my life to be fulfilling?”

But what does it mean to be “soulful”? It means we can see things from a perspective outside of ourselves. We can recognize our place in the world and understand how that place affects others. We can see what’s happening now, remember what happened in the past, and plan for what we want to happen in the future. We can look at the bigger picture and see how our actions fit.

And what does it mean to be “mastery”? Mastery is about taking all of these things and using them in a way that is beneficial for ourselves and others. It means we can make decisions based on whom we want to be instead of what we think will get us ahead or please others. It means having confidence in ourselves so that we don’t feel like we have to rely on others or live up to their expectations—we can just be ourselves!

The Seven steps

Self-mastery is a process. It’s not something you can achieve overnight, but if you take it one step at a time, you’ll get there. I’ve found seven steps that can help point the way to self-mastery: be at peace with your past, commit to yourself, focus on solutions, not problems, and listen to your body and others around you (but don’t let them dictate your life), find your passion, and maintain a healthy mindset. Here’s how each one works:

Step 1: Be at peace with the past.

You can’t change what happened in the past, but you can choose how to interpret it and use it to your benefit. For example, if you dwell on past experiences and make them a part of who you are, then those experiences will dictate who you become in the future. But if you let go of the past and look forward with hope, your future becomes much more open-ended.

We must accept our pasts while having faith that they will no longer dictate our lives or hold us back from reaching our full potential as human beings.

Step 2: Commit to yourself.

To achieve self-mastery, it is important that you are committed to yourself. You must be willing to give up things that don’t serve you and hold on to those that do.

What does this mean? It means that if your goal is self-mastery, then everything else in your life should be secondary—or at least be a means toward the end of self-mastery. Of course, not everything in our lives can be about self-mastery; this would lead us down some very dark paths! But if there’s something in your life that isn’t helping you reach your goals and make progress toward mastering yourself… it’s probably time for some serious reflection on whether or not it should stay in place. Your commitment will help guide the choices you make along the way.

Step 3: Focus on solutions, not problems.

Mastering the art of positive thinking is a lifelong pursuit. The third step toward mastery is to focus on solutions, not problems.

When feeling down, ask yourself how you can improve a situation rather than complain about it. If you’re unhappy with your current life situation, brainstorm ways that you could change it for the better. You don’t have to wait until circumstances change before you can start having fun and feeling good again—you can create opportunities by changing the way you think about things!

Step 4: Listen to your body.

The fourth step to mastering yourself is to listen to your body. Simply put, this means paying attention to the signals your body sends you. For example, if you’re tired, take a nap; if you’re hungry, eat something; if something hurts, ask for help.

You will learn to listen to yourself in situations where others might not be able to do so effectively because their needs are too pressing. For example, this can happen when there’s an emergency (like a fire), or someone has been badly hurt (like an accident). In these cases, we may get so caught up in trying to help others that we forget our safety needs—which could lead us into danger ourselves! But if we’re able to listen closely enough throughout these difficult circumstances—and make minor adjustments based on what we hear—we’ll get through them safely without getting worn down emotionally or physically before they’re over.”

Step 5: Find your passion

To find your passion, start by finding something you love. If it’s not possible to do something you love all day long, try to find a career or project that incorporates the things you love into your work. For example, if you love animals and want to help people, consider becoming a veterinarian or starting an animal shelter.

If what you’re doing is not fun or fulfilling, ask yourself: “Why am I doing this?” It’s easy for us to fall into patterns of behavior that don’t make us happy because we think they’ll lead us somewhere else—but maybe they won’t! It might be time for a change in direction or perspective in your life if what makes sense on paper doesn’t feel right for you in real life. You may have once been passionate about something but lost sight of its importance over time; reconnecting with those feelings will bring back the spark needed for self-mastery!

Step 6: Maintain a healthy mindset.

You can maintain a healthy mindset by:

  • Focusing on the positive. You’ve heard it before, but it’s essential to keep in mind. The most successful people have a strong sense of self-worth, and good things happen when they focus on the good things they do, not their failures or shortcomings.
  • Not being too hard on yourself. It’s true that we all make mistakes, but if we dwell on them too much—or even try to cover them up with more bad behavior—we will not be able to move forward in our lives in any meaningful way!
  • Comparing yourself to others can also derail your soulful journey toward mastery if you let it get away from you (which usually happens).

It’s better not to compare ourselves with others because everyone has their journey and path towards spiritual development; these different paths often lead us down different paths altogether!

Step 7: Self-mastery is possible when you take it one step at a time.

The biggest reason people don’t achieve their goals is because they’re afraid of failure. They want to know the whole picture before they start, but this isn’t possible; too many variables and unknowns in life can derail even the best-laid plans.

So instead of worrying about what could go wrong, focus on what will work. Focus on taking one step at a time and getting better each day—and you’ll be amazed at how far you can go when you don’t worry about what’s coming next.

Conclusion

If you’re ready to start working on your self-mastery, here is my suggestion:

  1. Don’t rush.
  2. Take it slow and steady and focus on one thing at a time.
  3. Focus on being more present at the moment, focusing on solutions instead of problems, listening to your body’s needs, and finding what brings joy into your life (whether work or play).

After these seven steps have become second nature—and trust me, they will!—move on to another one until you have achieved all seven. In the end? You will have learned so much about yourself that you could never have imagined before starting this journey towards self-mastery!
